My name is Isabel Mercedes.

I am a polyglot Games Design MA applicant,
with a background in technologies for human communication & UX Design, and
a huge flair for video games, Design, as well as extreme metal, Goth, and rhythmic noise music.
As an aspiring Game Designer, I would like to create meaningful and immersive gaming experiences.

This selection of case studies illustrates some work I created as an aspiring UX Designer. It demontrates my skills using visual software (Adobe XD and Illustrator) and online tools (Figma, InVision, Maze), as well as performing (user) research and usability tests with real people. All three designs were created with the guidance of my DesignLab mentor, Christian Bögner. 

The three designs showcase my approach to three different scenarios (a responsive website, an end-to-end app, and a new feature added to an already existing app) from start to finish. I believe that this diversity proves that I can work both from scratch (i.e. Seasonal and Il Paese dei Gatti projects) and adapt to already existing guidelines (Apple Music case study). 

I have just started an online Unreal Engine 5 course and intend to "dust off" my 3D skills by learning how to use Adobe Dimensions. For this reason, the graphical elements featured in these three case studies are only in 2D. However, there is a link to an interactive prototype for each mockup.
